The Burdekin RUM Weekend is an inaugural charity event, organised by the Golden Octopus Foundation which will be held at the Ayr Showgrounds on the 18th and 19th of August this year.

This unique event will attract the best in Australian bull riders, rodeo supporters and country music lovers with ute owners and enthusiasts from across the country bringing their prized possessions for all to admire.

It is anticipated that over 10,000 people will attend this event, generating economic benefits in the retail, food and accommodation sectors and beyond.
